Marie Ordonez began dancing at the age of seven, attending school at Texas Ballet Theater & the Gayle Corkery School of ballet. She graduated Magna cum Laude from Texas Woman's University with her BA in Dance Education. At TWU Marie learned more in depth teaching techniques in ballet and modern and joined the International Dance Company. The dance company traveled all over Texas performing a variety of dance genres at public and private schools, festivals and conferences. Marie has taught dance in public and private schools, community events, studios and workshops throughout the DFW metroplex. This will be Marie's fourth year teaching dance at Diamond Hill Jarvis High School in FWISD. She will be continuing the DHJ Dance Ensemble for its second year and begin a dance program at Meacham Middle School. Marie is excited to begin another year working with and helping students experience and understand the wonderful art form of dance!
